The Ferrari F40 is no stranger to petrolheads around the world thanks to its provocative design and brawny 2.9-litre twin-turbo V8 engine. 28 years on, the supercar is considered as a rare gem nowadays but you can now own one thanks to Lego.
Measuring in at 8 cm tall, 27 cm long and 14 cm wide, the replica F40 is the latest addition to the toymaker’s Creator series that comprises of an array of vehicles including Mini Cooper. It will take some time to build the model as the box contains a total of 1,158 pieces.
According to Lego designer Mike, the toy company worked with Ferrari to make sure the model looks as closely as possible to the real thing. The result is a replica with stunning details including the iconic pop-up head lights and five-spoke wheels. You can even pop the rear bonnet to have a closer look at the V8 engine, which can be removed.
Obviously, such an amazing piece of collectible doesn’t come cheap. The Lego Ferrari F40 retails at USD $89.99/€99.99/£69.99 and will go on sale later this month.
