Following its recently launched Penang Sentral – Sungai Petani and Penang Sentral – Parit Buntar routes, Rapid Penang is said to expand its services to other parts of Malaysia’s Northern region due to high demand, according to news reports.
Prasarana Group Group Managing Director Datuk Azmi Abdul Aziz was cited in the reports saying, “We have received overwhelming support from commuters from Sungai Petani and they have requested for additional services to be provided.”
He also said that the requests will need consideration from the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) first, and will do a feasible study on it.
