Mazda KOERU Concept - Frankfurt - 1

Wearing a new styling that supposedly exudes power, vitality and a new level of polished refinement, Mazda has unveiled a new concept vehicle at the Frankfurt Motor Show featuring an evolution of its ‘KODO – Soul of Motion’ design language – The Mazda KOERU Concept.

Mazda did say that the name “KOERU” literally means “exceed” or “go beyond” in Japanese, but, unfortunately, apart from its dimension which stands at 4,600 mm in length, 1,900 mm wide, 1,500 mm tall with a 2,700 mm wheelbase, Mazda did not reveal much details.

However, from the unveiling photos, we can see that the Mazda KOERU Concept is given a familiar front end design with a big chrome radiator grille that extends into the sweptback headlights. It also looks to feature a muscular side profile and and a distinct rear end with sleek taillights and twin exhaust pipes.

Mazda did mention that the concept rides on a set of 21-inch wheels and features its i-ACTIVSENSE and MZD Connect. It also promises a Jinba-ittai driving performance and refined ride comfort.
