BMW Motorrad Malaysia today announced the introduction of two new bikes, the enduro F 700 GS and the roadster F 800 R, ahead of its supposedly premiere at the BMW Motorrad on Tour Pop Up Store during the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix (MotoGP Malaysia) in Sepang this weekend.

“The arrival of the new enduro and new roadster from BMW Motorrad will continue to deliver pure riding enjoyment and safety to customers in Malaysia. The new motorcycles will also be key in introducing the BMW Motorrad brand to new customer groups as the motorcycles have the right sized engines and the newest technology for new and novice riders.” said BMW Group Malaysia Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Alan Harris.

Both the BMW F 700 GS and BMW F 800 R uses the same liquid-cooled four-valve two-cylinder engine with 798 cc, electronic fuel injection, and six-speed gearbox. However, the power output varies with F 700 GS producing 75 hp at 7,300 rpm and 77 Nm of torque at 5,300 rpm, while the F 800 R makes 87 hp at 8,000 rpm and 86 Nm of torque at 5,800 rpm.

First brought into Malaysia back in March of 2013 at an introduction price of RM79,800 at that time, the new 2015 BMW F 700 GS is now priced much lower at only RM56,700.

The F 800 R, however, was first introduced here in June last year with an introductory price of RM63,800. The new 2015 model is now offered with a starting price of just RM49,900, with a Sport variant that adds a unique RDC (Tyre Pressure Control) system with a gradient monitor offered at RM53,500.
