High-res photos the upcoming Volvo S90 saloon in die-cast form have emerged online. The 1:43 scale model is said to be indicative of the real deal, which is said to be premiered next year.
From the front, you can see the S90 wearing Volvo’s attractive new face complete with Thor’s Hammer headlights, as well as chrome-trimmed grille and bumper inserts. The saloon also features a sunroof and prominent C-shaped tail lights. Twin tail pipe configuration completes the S90’s demeanour.
Like the XC90, the S90 underpins the automaker’s new Scaleable Product Architecture (SPA) platform, which means it will likely share powertrains with the SUV including the twin-charged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine and the T8 2.0-litre twin-charge engine with an electric motor.
The S90 will replace the ageing S80. The car will be sold in China (among other countries, of course), where it is expected to be a massive hit.
