Naza Kia Malaysia took advantage of the ASEAN Auto Show 2015 at the Mines International Exhibition and Convention Centre over the weekend to allow showgoers an opportunity to preview its acclaimed Rio Sedan which will be officially launched here next year.

The Rio Sedan is said to be targeted at young trendsetters and go-getters who are looking for an affordable, fuel efficient and with strong safety features. “This is where the Rio Sedan fits in,” said Naza Kia Malaysia Sdn Bhd Head of Company Nazman Yusof.

Apart from the boot, the Rio Sedan looks very much the same as the latest version of the Rio Hatchback with Kia’s signature ‘Tiger Nose’ radiator grille that features a geometrical lattice pattern and bulb type Daytime Running Light (DRL).

The boot itself, which features a set of rear combination LED lamps that looks similar to the rear lights of its bigger Cerato Koup model, gets a big 389-litre space capacity.

The Rio Sedan also boasts all the safety features of the Hatchback including front and rear disc brakes, anti-lock brake system (ABS), electronic stability control (ESC), vehicle stability management (VSM), a hill-startassist control (HAC), emergency stop signal, six air bags.

Estimated at RM73,000, the Rio Sedan will come with a five years warranty with unlimited mileage and is now open for bookings. It will be available for purchase in the first quarter of 2016.
