Roland Sands Yamaha Faster Wasp 25

Yamaha took the motorcycling world by storm when they introduced the neo-retro XSR700. Now the company is set to do the same with the upcoming XSR900, which is previewed by this stunning Faster Wasp concept bike.

Based on the MT-09, the Faster Wasp is the fifth collaboration of Yamaha and Roland Sands Design (RSD). It has a 850 cc three-cylinder engine encased within a lightweight aluminium frame.

The Faster Wasp is dressed in a custom bodywork that includes a hand-fabricated aluminium fuel tank, custom tail job, front fender, intake scoops and radiator covers. Expect the front number plate and the tiny offset headlight to go when it comes to the production XSR900.

Paying tribute to Kenny Robert’s iconic TZ750, the Faster Wasp features a classic bumblebee paint scheme and custom leather seat. Also fitted on the bike are a bunch of RSD prototype items that could make it to production such as timing cover, rear sets, rear brake reservoir, case guards, chain guard, timing plug, axle sliders and fuel cap.

The Faster Wasp rolls on 17-inch forged aluminium wheels shod with Dunlop Q3 rubbers. The triple mill screams through a custom exhaust system comprising of Two Brothers stainless steel headers and an RSD muffler. Stopping power comes from RSD bespoke brake kit.
