Infiniti QX Sport Inspiration Teaser

Infiniti has released a teaser of its QX Sport Inspiration concept, ahead of the its debut at the upcoming 2016 Beijing Auto Show. The concept offers a glimpse of the brand’s next generation mid-size SUV that could take over from the outgoing QX70.

Even with a darkened single image, the influence of Infiniti’s renowned ‘Powerful Elegance’ design language is evident on the QX. The concept sports a unique headlight design comprising separate elements formed into a cluster, combined with a prominent front grille and a slim air intake below the headlight. It also features some black cladding on the lower section of the bumper.

While we can’t see the rest of it yet, Infiniti says the QX is designed in the same mould as the Q60 concept with its muscular lines, floating A-pillars and bulging wheel arches. Expect a brawny, athletic crossover as the outcome.

“The QX Sport Inspiration expresses a power and purpose that is uniquely Infiniti,” said the Japanese luxury automaker’s design director Alfonso Albaisa. “With a flowing, natural aesthetic, this concept demonstrates how Infiniti can offer something new and exciting with future QX SUV models.”
