McLaren F1 #069 10

Ever dreamed of owning one of the rarest supercars ever conceived? If you have (like the rest of us), get the cheque book ready as McLaren is selling a well-kept example of the legendary F1 supercar with less than 5,000 km on the clock.

According to the automaker, this particular unit is maintained by McLaren Special Operations (MSO) and wears chassis number 069, though it was the 60th model to roll out of Woking.

The supercar is painted in stealthy Carbon Black, which goes well with the 17-inch centre-locking magnesium wheels finished in the same shade. The theme continues inside, where the dual passenger seats are upholstered in Alcantara and the central driving seat gets contrasting red leather inserts.

What makes the F1 even more special apart from the seating layout is the BMW-sourced 6.1-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine sitting behind the cabin. Lined with gold, the mill pumps out 636 PS to enable the supercar to hit an eye-watering top speed of 390.7 km/h. On top of that, the F1 was also the first road car to feature a full carbon fibre chassis.

In addition to the car itself, the lucky buyer will get all the original goodies that came with it, including fitted luggage, a titanium toolkit, as well as a correct numbered LM Edition of the “Driving Ambition” McLaren F1 book and limited edition owner’s watch.

No price is quoted for the F1, but if you’re really, really interested, McLaren is just an email away.
