Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has officially introduced the new Mitsubishi Triton Knight. Limited to only 120 units nationwide, the new variant is based on the Triton VGT Adventure.

The Triton Knight is available only in Pearl White, which is complemented with the new 17-inch matte black alloy wheels, matte black front grille, sports bar with sports lid, as well as matte black rear bumper. A front bumper extender and exclusive ‘Knight’ body stickers complete the truck’s new image.

The cabin of the Triton Knight features leather seats complete with special ‘Knight’ embroidery. In terms of standard equipment, the variant comes with Xenon HID headlamps with daytime running lights, push start button, keyless operation, tilt and telescopic steering and paddle shifters for manual control of the automatic transmission when the driver wants it.

Other features include 4WD selector, touch screen audio system with reverse camera, auto headlamps and wipers, and dual zone climate control.

Like the model it’s based on, the Triton Knight has 178 PS at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm courtesy of a 2.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engine with Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT). Power routes the wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission with Sport mode.

Safety-wise, there are Mitsubishi’s RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) body construction, ABS, EBD, dual airbags, a collapsible steering column and anti-intrusion brake pedal that are made to fold away during an accident.

The Mitsubishi Triton Knight is fully-imported (CBU). It is priced at RM122,487.84 and comes with two years of free maintenance with RM2,000 cash rebate OR free labour with RM4,000 cash rebate. The truck also comes with a factory warranty of three years or the first 100,000km.
