Naza Bikes today launched the fairing version of its popular N5 bike series, the N5R, featuring two concepts, priced from RM13,888 not inclusive of GST.
The first concept is its True Sport characteristics of light weight high performance chassis, while the second is the EX-suit system of switchable riding position with adjustable handles, seat height and step position.
Its seat height can be raised by 20mm, its handlebars lowered by 30mm and step position moved back 30mm for a super sports position that puts a stronger focus on sports riding with excellent controlability, while the seat height can be lowered by 20mm, handle bars raised by 30mm and step position moved forward by 30mm for a street sports position that focuses on daily street riding with excellent accessibility.
It is mechanically similar to its sibling, powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder engine which generates 28hp at 9,500rpm and peak torque of 24Nm at 7,000rpm, mated to a constant mesh six-speed transmission.
The N5R also uses the same lightweight steel tubular trellis frame with a 37mm upside down telescopic fork at the front and a dual swingarm with gas charged hydraulic absorber at the rear.
Braking power comes from a 300mm disc with four-piston calipers at the front and 230mm disc with two-piston calipers at the rear.
“The Naza N5 naked street bike was initially designed to meet increasing market demands for more dynamic 250cc entry-level motorcycles.
“Now, following the success of the N5, the N5R takes it up a level to provide a more sporting feel with full fairing and switchable riding position,” said Naza Bikes sales and distribution head Tan Soon Wei.
Tan added that the bike is user-friendly and thrilling to ride, therefore ideal for entry-level riders who wish to navigate the roads with ease, boost their confidence and enhance their riding ability.
