Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) will be organising the Mitsubishi Triton Extra Hardcore Roadshow this weekend, on October 1 and 2 at the outdoor carpark of Setia City Convention Centre.

The event, with free admission, will see Malaysia Motorsports Athlete, Leona Chin perform high-speed rides amongst other thrilling test rides on a specially outfitted obstacle truck – the first-of-its-kind in Malaysia.

The newly launched Mitsubishi Triton will be put through the test on the purpose-built Mitsubishi truck featuring a wide range of obstacles including a 45-degree, 25-feet tall “sky” ramp that points upwards to the sky – an extreme test for any 4×4 vehicle.

Other challenges include the roller ramp test that will see the 4×4 vehicle “drive through” the giant obstacle truck as well as the side traverse and uneven ramp tests.

Visitors who book any Mitsubishi vehicle during the Mitsubishi Triton Extra Hardcore Roadshow will receive a special edition Ralliart umbrella, while those who test drive any Mitsubishi model will receive exclusive merchandise (while stocks last).

Visitors to the roadshow will also get to meet and greet Malaysia Motorsport Athlete Leona Chin, and win exclusive Ralliart merchandise during the event, and kids will also get to enjoy sand art and other fun activities organised for the whole family.

The latest Triton is powered by a new aluminium alloy block 2.4L Mitsubishi Innovative Valve Timing Electronic Control System (MIVEC) Turbo Diesel engine with VGT Intercooler, making it the first with diesel engine in its segment to use the MIVEC technology, previously only available on Mitsubishi’s petrol engines, which helps it achieve more power and fuel efficiency.

Mitsubishi currently has 55 showrooms, out of which 47 are 3S centres, and 53 service outlets throughout Malaysia, with 12 showrooms in East Malaysia – six each in Sabah and Sarawak.
