The Mega MotoGP Carnival returns this year, with 80 booths for trade and vending with something for everybody, set to take place from October 28 to October 30 at Sepang International Circuit (SIC).
Participants include Kawasaki, Yamaha, KTM, BMW Motorrad, Boon Siew Honda, Repsol, VR46 Official Racing Apparel, Motul, Shark, Shell, Givi, Racing Boy, Liqui Moly, among others.
Besides motorsports-related goods, there will be sports-associated brands such as Drive M7, Rudy Project, Red Bull and Tissot participating, as well as organisations like Sunway Education.
“Not all spectators are also bikers, especially with some coming just to support our Malaysian riders, so the Mega MotoGP Carnival aims to have inclusive appeal.
“We believe the MotoGP is a wholesome event that can be enjoyed by the whole family as a weekend outing,” said SIC CEO Dato’ Razlan Razali.
SIC is also using the MotoGP as a platform for a good cause, by offering The Ten Ringgit Club space to create awareness on their cause and also display Penan weave-ware during race weekend.
The non-profit organisation, formed to improve the education opportunities of marginalised children in northern Sarawak, also helps generate income for the Penan villagers by offering their weave-ware for sale.
Visitors to the carnival can purchase woven items such as purses, baskets and handbags, ranging from RM20 to RM150, or contribute to The Ten Ringgit Club by pledging any amount over RM10 to help fund the education of marginalised children.
Currently, only tickets for the Main Grandstand, C2 Hillstand and the Ducati Grandstand package are still available, while the Premier Roving Pass and tickets for the K1 Grandstand, F Grandstand, Marc Marquez Tribune, VR46 Tribune, Drive M7 SIC Racing Team Tribune and Club Suite are all sold out.
