The Transport Ministry has determined summonses issued under the Automated Enforcement System (AES) will be fixed at RM150, reported Bernama.
Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said the decision was approved by the Cabinet during a meeting recently.
He also dismissed rumours that the government is going to clear about 1.6 million summonses issued to speeding vehicles under AES when it was first introduced in 2012.
“They have to pay, but from now onwards, it will all be RM150,” he said.
He added that those who fail to pay their summonses would be blacklisted and not be allowed to renew their driving licences.
Currently there are 40 AES cameras installed in the Klang Valley and Perak.
