Jaguar’s first SUV, the F-Pace, has made its way to the Malaysian market today, available in two variants – Prestige and R-Sport, priced at RM598,800 and RM658,800 respectively including 6% GST but excluding road tax, registration and insurance.

Both variants are powered by a 3.0-litre supercharged V6 petrol engine that generates 335hp at 6,500rpm and 450Nm of torque at 4,500rpm, paired to an eight-speed electronic automatic transmission with Jaguar Sequential Shift, and allows the SUV to reach 100km/h from a standstill in 5.8 seconds before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h.

Each new F-Pace comes with Jaguar Care, which comprises a five-year warranty and five years of free servicing plus three years of Jaguar Roadside Assistance.

There is also an exclusive Black Pack R-Sport option that comes with gloss black radiator grille and surrounds, body colour door claddings with gloss black finishers and gloss black side power vents with R-Sport badge.

The entry level Prestige model benefits from monotube dampers as standard, while the R-Sport is equipped with an electronically-controlled Adaptive Dynamics System, both of which ensure optimum damping forces in all conditions by measuring body and wheel movement 100 and 500 times a second respectively.

Also standard in the R-Sport is Configurable Dynamics, first used in the F-Type, which allows individual settings for the throttle, automatic transmission, steering and the Adaptive Dynamics System, as well as Adaptive Surface Response (ASR) integrated into Jaguar Drive Control, which increases the SUV’s all-wheel drive’s (AWD) effectiveness in challenging conditions.

Additional technology available in the F-Pace include all surface progress control and low friction launch, both standard features in both variants.

Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia Sdn Bhd (JLRM) is confident the SUV would help the brand enhance its appeal and reach out to a wider market.
