Official distributor for Kia vehicles in Malaysia, Naza Kia Malaysia Sdn Bhd expects to launch the all new Grand Carnival within the first quarter of this year.
The company said the Grand Carnival is “set to make a bold entrance into the MPV market segment” as well as spearhead and set the tone and direction of its sales this year.
“Despite 2016 being a challenging year for Kia in Malaysia, we managed to contain a better percentage than the national total industry volume’s negative growth.
“For 2017, we have forecasted our sales volume to increase by 25% and the All New Grand Carnival will play a pivotal role in achieving this target,” said Naza Corporation Holdings Sdn Bhd group chief operating officer Dato’ Samson Anand George.
The eight-seater MPV will receive improvements in design and styling both its exterior and interior, such as leather seats, power sliding door and tailgate, 3rd row passenger easy access system – one touch standing second row seats, push start button, HID head lamps with Daytime Running Lights as well as improved safety features including six airbags, electronic stability control and hill-start assist system.
Its 2.2 Litre CRDi variable geometry turbo-charged diesel engine provides 190hp and 440Nm of torque, answering the calls for both powerful and yet economical people mover.
The vehicle has also been awarded a five-star safety rating by ANCAP and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
Naza Kia Malaysia have open bookings for the All New Grand Carnival and can be done at all Naza Kia outlets in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak.
