Mercedes-Benz today unveiled the new generation GLA available in three variants, GLA 200 Urban Line, GLA 250 4MATIC AMG Line and Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 4MATIC, priced at RM239,888, RM269,888 and RM408,888 respectively, OTR without insurance.
All three variants are powered by a four-in-line engine, with a capacity of 1.6 litres for the GLA 200 and 2.0 litres for the GLA 250 4MATIC and GLA 45 4MATIC.
In the GLA 200, the engine generates 156hp at 5,300rpm and 250Nm at 1,250rpm to 4,000rpm, while in the GLA 250 4MATIC it generates 211hp at 5,500rpm and 350Nm at 1,200rpm to 4,000rpm and in the GLA 45 4MATIC the maximum output is 381hp at 6,000rpm and 475Nm at 2,250rpm to 5,000rpm.
The GLA 200 Urban Line and GLA 250 250 4MATIC comes with a 7G-DCT dual clutch transmission while the Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 4MATIC comes with an AMG Speedshift DCT seven-speed automatic sports transmission.
Their engines push the cars from 0 to 100km/h in 8.1 seconds, 6.6 seconds and 4.4 seconds before reaching top speeds of 215km/h, 230km/h and 250km/h for the GLA 200, GLA 250 4MATIC and GLA 45 4MATIC respectively.
The new GLA features modified bumpers, additional light-alloy wheels and a new colour, canyon beige, as well as newly introduced off-road suspension for the GLA 200 Urban Line and GLA 250 4MATIC AMG Line.
The Night Package offers selected design features in black, from two louvres in the radiator grille through exterior mirrors and light-alloy wheels to the simulated underguard.
The AMG Line on the GLA 250 4MATIC features AMG bodystyling, a radiator grille with two louvres painted in silver and chrome inserts, and also the twin-pipe sports exhaust system with chrome-plated tailpipe trim elements integrated into the bumper, as well as 19-inch AMG five-spoke light-alloy wheels, perforated brake disks at the front and brake callipers at the front with Mercedes-Benz.
Meanwhile, the new Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 4MATIC’s front apron has received a more dynamic shape, new air intake grilles, a front splitter insert plus flics in high-gloss black.
The twin louvre on the AMG Twin Blade radiator grille is now in silver chrome, as are the inserts in the side sill panels, while the rear apron features a new diffuser insert, and it also receives trim in high gloss black and new spoiler lip on the roof spoiler, as well as 20-inch AMG multi-spoke light-alloy wheels.
Safety features include attention assist, active brake assist, adaptive brake lights, anti-theft warning system, tyre pressure warning system, run-flat tyres as well as windowbags and knee bags.
