BMW Motorrad Malaysia has introduced a new variant of its R nineT Scrambler featuring a Monolithic Metallic Matte Fuel Tank, following the variant introduced last October which featured a Brushed Aluminium fuel tank, priced at RM86,900 OTR without insurance, inclusive of GST.

The R nineT Scrambler exhibits a classic silhouette principally marked by the boxer engine, a compact sheet fuel tank, and a fine filigree rear.

It also features a classic speedometer with analogue display in the instrument cluster integrated into its front section, while key information such as time and trip distance can be viewed from a dual-row LCD display.

The bike comes with a longitudinally mounted air/oil-cooled 1,170cc two-cylinder boxer engine which produces 110hp and 116Nm peak torque with a maximum engine speed of 8,500rpm, mated with a power transmission via universal-shaft drive.

Meanwhile, suspension has also been refined with the introduction of a fully adjusted front fork derived from the BMW S 1000 RR.

Besides that, the R nineT Scrambler has had its engine mapping redefined to meet the requirements of the EU4 pollutant class, with a fuel consumption that stands at 5.3 litres/100km.

Concurrently, tank ventilation is improved with the introduction of a carbon canister in the fuel system.
