Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC), sole distributor of Ford in Malaysia, has kicked of Ford Truck Month which offers good savings and deals on the Ford Ranger WildTrak, as well as exciting activities.
From now until the October 31, SDAC is offering exclusive RM6,000 in cash rebates and exciting booking gifts – a set of four ‘Built Ford Tough’ t-shirts – when customers book a Ford Ranger WildTrak at any of its dealerships nationwide.
In addition to this offer, a fleet of Rangers will be making an appearance in East Malaysia this month, where members of the public be able to view the trucks indoors at Imago KK Times Square, Kota Kinabalu from August 26 to 27 as well as participate in an outdoor obstacle test drive with the Ranger.
This year, the Ranger celebrates its 100th year being an iconic pickup truck in the automotive industry, since July 29, 1917.
The Ranger features cutting-edge technology including electronic stability control (ESC) with traction control which helps to control understeering and oversteering by correcting the driving line through a combination of brake application to the appropriate wheel and a reduction in engine torque and adaptive load control, which takes into consideration the loading condition of the vehicle and ensures ESC is then applied accordingly.
On top of these features is the Rollover Mitigation system that identifies a potentially dangerous driving situation and activates the ESC to restore stability, while Hill Launch Assist and Hill Descent Control help to pull away on steep inclines and stay in control on steep downhill grades easily.
The WildTrak variant features SYNCTM 3, the latest Ford in-car connectivity system with an eight-inch colour touchscreen to operate phone, entertainment and climate control using a simple voice command system, which currently supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
In addition to the features above, the WildTrak variant also features Adaptive Cruise Control that uses radar sensors to detect traffic ahead, and automatically adjusts the cruise control speed to maintain a safe distance from the car in front as well as the Collision Warning Alert system which detects the potential of a collision up ahead and will flash a red warning signal on the windscreen and pre-charge the brakes, ready to stop quickly.
It is powered by a 3.2-liter Duratorq five-cylinder TDCi diesel engine which generates 197hp and 470Nm peak torque.
Other features include lane keeping aid, lane departure warning, adjustable speed limiter, trailer sway control, electronic power-assisting steering, six airbags and MyKey.
The Ranger is available in six colours – Pride Orange, Aluminium Metallic, Aurora Blue, Cool White, Metropolitan Grey and Black Mica, as well as the limited Jet Black.
