Isuzu has launched the new mu-X, priced at RM176,640.40 for the 4×2 variant and RM183,000.40 for the 4×4 variant, OTR without insurance.

It’s powered by a 2.5L VGS Turbo Intercooler diesel engine which generates 134hp at 3,400rpm and 320Nm peak torque at 1,800rpm to 2,800rpm, mated to a five-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift.

Key upgrades include a new facade with blue spectrum bi-LED projector headlights, LED daytime running lights (DRL), six airbags, soft touches interior, hill descent control, 18-inch alloy wheels and a new colour, Havana Brown.

Its new headlights comes with an auto-leveling feature that keeps the light projection in the optimum direction as the user adds weight to the vehicle, while a new rear fog lamp has also been incorporated into the vehicle.

The seven-seater SUV’s new aggressive front fascia features a styling concept inspired by a bald eagle.

On the inside, it features a new interior design, upgraded with soft surfaces with wood pattern panel at the door trim and front dashboard as well as a new design electroluminescent meter panel with multi-information display (MID).

Another prominent improvement is its new refined quilt pattern leather seat to ensure the comfort of the driver and passengers, an upgraded infotainment system ith eight speakers surrounding the car.

The 4×4 variant comes with an 8-inch DVD touchscreen with fold down monitor for back row occupants, while the 4×2 variant has a 7-inch DVD touchscreen.

Safety-wise, the mu-X comes with anti-lock braking system (ABS), traction control system (TCS), electronic stability control (ESC), electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), brake assist (BA), hill start assist (HSA) and Isofix.

The new mu-X comes with a five-year unlimited mileage warranty and is available in four colours – Havana Brown Mica, Silky White Pearl, Titanium Silver Metallic and Cosmic Black Mica.
