The CX-5 is equipped with a plethora of safety features, at the top of which is G-Vectoring Control (GVC), an active safety technology that ensures the vehicle controls its dynamics on an extremely minute level, not capable by drivers themselves, so that driving efficiency is significantly improved.

Another safety feature worth noting is Mazda’s i-ActivSense, a series of advanced safety technology which makes use of detection devices such as milliwave radars and cameras.

It includes Adaptive LED Headlights (ALH), Adaptive Front-Lighting System (AFS), Smart City Brake System (SCBS), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Lane-Keep Assist System (LAS) and Driver Attention Alert (DAA).

Design-wise, the CX-5 boasts a redesigned exterior, with a new honeycomb-style grille, redesigned chrome signature wing and slimmer front headlights at the front, while the rear features a new taillight design in a two-layer moulded outer lens.

Inside, Mazda has introduced a more symmetrical dashboard layout which focuses on driver orientation, while the commander console is elevated, surrounding the lower body for better ergonomics and sense of toughness, stability and control.

The seven-inch full colour touchscreen display for the MZD CONNECT Infotainment has been redesigned and repositioned to the top of the dashboard, close to the driver’s natural line of sight, making it less distracting and easier to see and use.

It is available in Deep Crystal Blue, Sonic Silver, Meteor Grey, Jet Black and Arctic White, as well as premium colours Soul Red Crystal, Machine Grey and Snowflake White Pearl which will cost an additional RM2,000.

Bermaz has upgraded its Manufacturing Warranty period from three years to five years, and all new Mazda vehicles registered from February 1 will enjoy five years or 100,000km Manufacturing Warranty and three years or 60,000km Free Maintenance, applicable to all models except the BT-50 pickup.

Customers will be able to enjoy a peaceful ownership with an absolute three year free scheduled maintenance according to manufacturer’s standards.
